About me

My background

I grew up in rural Minnesota. I loved the land and the people there, still do. And, I have lived most of my adult life in the Twin Cities. I have a dream of again having a home in the country.

My writing roots

My grandmother, Amanda Tall taught grades one through eight in a one room school house. Later she proof-read and wrote for the local newspaper. My mom read voraciously and kept a big red dictionary and blue hardcover atlas close at hand. They both wrote copious letters. My dad was a storyteller. These were my models.

My Novel

Bend is a contemporary, coming of age novel set in rural Minnesota. It is being released May 8, 2017 by Anglerfish Press, an imprint of Riptide Publishing. It is avaiable for pre-order at Riptide Publishing and Amazon.
